Getz is seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods or passengers to designated locations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. This role demands a strong focus on safety compliance, excellent route planning, and navigation skills to ensure timely and efficient deliveries or trips. Although this position does not involve managing a team, effective communication and professionalism are essential to represent the company positively during every trip.
The Driver will play a critical role in maintaining the companys reputation for timely and safe transport services. The position requires attention to detail to inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition. The Driver must demonstrate defensive driving techniques to minimize risks on the road and be adaptable to varying weather and traffic conditions. This role is suited for candidates who are punctual, dependable, and capable of following precise instructions while maintaining a high standard of safety at all times.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods or passengers to assigned destinations.
- Plan and follow the best routes using navigation skills to ensure timely arrival and departure.
- Execute pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Comply strictly with all traffic laws, safety policies, and company guidelines to maintain a safe driving environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the vehicle to ensure it remains in optimal condition.
- Record trip details, mileage, and any incidents encountered during transportation as required by the company.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to coordinate schedules and report any issues promptly.
- Demonstrate defensive driving techniques to avoid accidents and ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and others on the road.
- Adapt driving strategies to changing road and weather conditions to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, ensuring a positive company image at all times.
