Truck Dispatcher

You will utilize various dispatch and fleet management systems including load coordination tools and route planning software to optimize routes and schedules. Strong organizational skills and familiarity with key industry tools like DAT and Truckstop are preferred, along with at least one year of experience in dispatch or logistics operations.
Responsibilities

Coordinate daily truck loads, routes, and driver schedules to ensure timely and efficient freight delivery.
Book freight loads by communicating effectively with brokers, shippers, and load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.
Track shipments continuously using load tracking software and freight management systems to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
Manage all required paperwork including Bills of Lading (BOLs), rate confirmations, and invoices to maintain accurate shipping records.
Supervise and lead a team of 20 dispatch personnel, ensuring smooth communication, task delegation, and conflict resolution.
Utilize dispatch software and fleet management systems to optimize load scheduling and route planning.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies throughout the dispatching process.
Handle real-time problem-solving by addressing shipment delays, route deviations, or driver concerns promptly.
Maintain regular communication with drivers to monitor their status, availability, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as operations, customer service, and accounting to ensure cohesive logistics management.
Continuously evaluate and improve trucking schedules and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and regulations related to freight and trucking dispatch.
Provide training and support to team members to develop their skills and improve overall team performance.
Report key performance metrics to senior management and suggest strategies for operational improvements.
