Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Sourcing & Negotiation:

    • Identify and manage relationships with suppliers in Asia to ensure quality, cost-effective procurement for the US market.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve the best outcomes for the company.
  • Market Expansion:

    • Develop and implement strategies to expand market presence in the US, including identifying new business opportunities and potential partners.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing strategies with business goals.
  • Sales & Client Acquisition:

    • Conduct phone-based outreach to potential clients and suppliers, building strong business relationships.
    • Manage the sales pipeline and drive acquisition efforts to support business development goals.
  • Data Reporting & Analysis:

    • Create and present detailed reports on procurement activities, market trends, and business performance.
    • Analyze key metrics to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Trade Expertise:

    • Stay informed on market dynamics, cultural differences, and trade regulations that impact business operations between Asia and the US.
    • Implement best practices in international trade and supply chain management.
  • Use of MS Office & Digital Tools:

    • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to create reports, perform data analysis, and prepare presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, business development, or related fields, with a focus on the US market.
  • Language Skills:

    • Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of additional Asian languages is advantageous but not required.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication skills, with experience in phone-based sales and negotiations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Cultural & Market Awareness:

    • Strong understanding of cross-cultural dynamics, international trade practices, and market conditions affecting business between Asia and the US.
