Maintenance Operations:

  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations.
  • Supervise maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, and other departments to address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Inspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner and according to established standards.

Preventive Maintenance:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for all areas of the property.
  • Schedule and oversee routine inspections, servicing, and repairs of equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Monitor and maintain records of all preventive maintenance activities.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all maintenance work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the property.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Assist in managing emergency maintenance situations and ensure quick resolution.

Budget and Inventory Management:

  • Assist in the management of the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment, and order as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance expenditures.

Team Leadership and Training:

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to maintenance staff.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluation of maintenance personnel.
  • Promote a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among the maintenance team.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work.
  • Ensure that work performed by vendors meets the property's quality standards.
  • Review and approve invoices related to maintenance services and supplies.

Guest Relations:

  • Respond promptly to maintenance-related guest complaints and concerns.
  • Ensure that maintenance work is performed in a manner that minimizes disruption to guests.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
