GainzAlgo is a trading technology brand focused primarily on developing trading indicators and market-analysis tools for traders across stocks, forex, crypto, futures, and other financial markets.

We are looking for a highly capable, creative, and independent Discord Community Manager who can take complete ownership of our Discord community and help us build a highly active, engaging, positive, and well-managed environment.

This is not a basic moderation role. We need someone who understands Discord inside and out, knows how to genuinely engage with members, comes up with new community activities and ideas independently, and can continuously find ways to grow and improve the community without requiring constant supervision.

Responsibilities

Manage and actively engage with the GainzAlgo Discord community on a daily basis.
Start genuine conversations and encourage meaningful participation among members.
Develop creative ideas, activities, challenges, discussions, polls, competitions, events, and other initiatives to increase community engagement.
Build relationships with active members and identify potential community advocates.
Welcome and engage new members and improve new-member activation and retention.
Continuously identify opportunities to grow and strengthen the community.
Maintain a positive environment and prevent unnecessary toxicity, spam, scams, harassment, and disruptive behavior.
Handle complaints and difficult situations professionally while distinguishing legitimate criticism from malicious behavior.
Manage Discord channels, categories, roles, permissions, onboarding, AutoMod, security, verification, filters, logs, and other server settings.
Configure and manage Discord bots for moderation, tickets, automation, anti-spam, verification, roles, logging, and other community requirements.
Monitor server security and implement anti-raid, anti-spam, scam-link, keyword, and other moderation protections.
Monitor community performance and regularly suggest improvements based on engagement, member feedback, and activity.
Recruit, screen, train, and manage additional moderators as the community grows.
Build a moderation structure capable of eventually providing 24/7 community coverage across different shifts and time zones.
Create moderation guidelines, processes, and SOPs to ensure consistency across the moderation team.
Monitor moderator performance and ensure community standards are followed.
Work closely with the GainzAlgo team and escalate important customer or community issues when required.
Requirements
Proven experience managing Discord communities.
Excellent knowledge of Discord administration, moderation, roles, permissions, bots, AutoMod, security, and server management.
Strong understanding of community engagement and growth.
Excellent written and spoken English with natural and professional communication.
Highly creative and capable of independently generating new community ideas.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently without requiring constant instructions.
Strong understanding of online community culture and member psychology.
Ability to professionally handle conflicts, complaints, trolls, scammers, and difficult community situations.
Ability to recruit, train, and manage moderators.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving online environment.
Saturday and Sunday are normal working days for this position. Candidates must be comfortable working weekends. Weekly days off may be scheduled on other days depending on operational requirements.

You do not need to be a professional trader, but you should either understand the trading industry or be capable of learning our products and audience quickly.
Future Responsibilities
For now, this role will be primarily focused on Discord. However, GainzAlgo plans to expand its communities to additional platforms in the future, such as Telegram and other communication channels.
The successful candidate should be capable of eventually helping us build, manage, and scale communities across additional platforms as the company grows.
Who We Are Looking For
We want someone who can take ownership rather than simply follow instructions.
The ideal candidate should be able to look at the community, identify what needs improvement, propose solutions, implement them, measure the results, and continuously bring new ideas to the team.
If your experience is limited to posting announcements, saying GM/GN, basic moderation, or banning users when instructed, this role is likely not the right fit.
We are looking for someone who can seriously grow, manage, and improve the GainzAlgo community independently.
