Technical Support Engineer / Technician

Fulcrum Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Technical Support Engineer / Technician with 3 years of experience to join their team. This role requires hands-on expertise in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining software-based industrial equipment. The candidate will handle the commissioning and servicing of industrial machinery at various customer locations, ensuring smooth equipment operation and high customer satisfaction. The position involves frequent travel to customer sites and requires excellent problem-solving abilities and strong IT knowledge. Additionally, the selected individual will lead and manage a small team of one person, providing guidance and support in technical tasks and service delivery. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology. With a commitment to delivering timely and effective service, this role combines technical expertise with customer service and team leadership. Candidates with their own motorcycle for site visits will have an added advantage. Working hours are Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and the role is based on-site in Karachi.
Responsibilities

Install, configure, and commission software-based industrial equipment at customer locations, ensuring proper operation and compliance with standards.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and mechanical issues affecting industrial machinery to minimize downtime and maintain performance.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance routines to uphold optimal functionality and prolong equipment longevity.
Provide clear, effective technical support and training to customers on equipment usage and troubleshooting procedures.
Prepare and maintain detailed service reports and documentation for all installations, maintenance activities, and technical support cases.
Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve complex technical issues promptly and efficiently.
Travel to customer sites for installations, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs to ensure continuous equipment operation.
Lead and manage a team member by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a collaborative and skilled support team environment.
Ensure that technical support services meet or exceed customer expectations through timely and professional service delivery.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and industry trends related to software-based industrial equipment.
