VeevoNix, a subsidiary of Veevo Tech, operates in the electronics and energy sectors with a focus on research and manufacturing. Their flagship product, ChargeX, is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) power storage battery developed over more than a decade. This advanced product combines custom firmware, a touchscreen HMI, hardware PCBs, and a cloud monitoring platform, integrating cutting-edge storage chemistry with sophisticated electronics. The Floor Supervisor role at ChargeX is vital for managing daily production operations, translating sales orders into build schedules, and ensuring quality standards throughout assembly. This position acts as the main point of accountability on the production floor, responsible for on-time delivery, quality gate compliance, and team leadership. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Floor Supervisor works closely to align engineering releases with production execution.
Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling & Delivery:
Convert confirmed sales orders into detailed daily and weekly production schedules, specifying unit types, configurations, and delivery timelines. Generate and manage Work Orders for each batch, tracking progress through all production stages until completion. Monitor work-in-progress across all stations daily, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to avoid shipment delays. Maintain accurate production records within company software, documenting units started, completed, on hold, and shipped. Provide daily output reports and highlight any schedule variances to the Engineering and Operations Managers.
SOP & Quality Gate Enforcement:
Ensure strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at every production stage, with no skipped steps or missed quality gates. Conduct regular spot checks across all zones, including Store, PCB, Assembly, Quality Control, and Dispatch, to verify compliance. Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process by tagging, logging, and investigating failed units before reintegration. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to investigate root causes when NCRs point to design, firmware, or component issues rather than process errors. Report recurring SOP deviations for process review and improvement.
Team Supervision:
Lead daily floor standup meetings to review build targets, previous day’s output, and operational blockers. Oversee attendance, discipline, and task assignments for all floor personnel. Identify skill gaps and coordinate on-the-job training to enhance team capabilities. Conduct regular performance check-ins and address issues proactively. Recommend staffing adjustments based on throughput data and delivery demands rather than intuition.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
Track and maintain weekly quality metrics, including units built, failed QC, reworked, and scrapped. Submit comprehensive weekly production and quality reports to the Engineering Manager. Identify and propose opportunities to improve floor efficiency, reduce rework, and shorten cycle times, including cross-functional improvements involving design, sourcing, or tooling. Coordinate with Inventory and Dispatch & Logistics Officers to ensure seamless store-to-ship workflows.
Required Qualifications
2 to 3 years of experience in electronics assembly, manufacturing, or production supervision. Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical or equivalent. Practical knowledge of PCB assembly, wiring, and electromechanical integration. Proven ability to enforce SOPs and maintain consistent quality standards. Strong people management skills, capable of leading a team of 5 to 8 workers daily. Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset prioritizing process adherence over speed. Fluent in Urdu with functional English skills for written reporting.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience in battery, solar inverter, UPS, or power electronics assembly is advantageous. Familiarity with 5S methodology or basic lean manufacturing principles is preferred. Knowledge of ESD-safe assembly practices is a plus. Islamabad-based candidates are preferred as this is a full-time, on-site role requiring constant floor presence. Compensation includes a competitive salary up to PKR 55,000 per month, basic pay plus allowances, company-provided accommodation if required, fuel allowance where applicable, emergency health coverage after one year, paid annual leave, and Employee Old Age Benefit Contribution (EOBI). The company fosters a supportive work environment with an open-door policy.
This permanent, contract-bound position offers the opportunity to contribute to an innovative product line within a dynamic manufacturing setting. The role demands hands-on leadership, a strong commitment to quality, and continuous improvement.
