Manage the design, development, enhancement and performance of assigned liability products bytranslating strategic direction into executable product initiatives, ensuring Shariah compliance, regulatoryadherence and commercial viability, in order to support deposit growth, customer engagement and theGroups overall liability products strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Regularly carry out an analysis of Liability products available in the local and internationalmarkets, as a tool for assessing any gaps or opportunities in the Bank's product suite.
  • Provide input to the Unit Head, regarding new business opportunities, partnerships, and processimprovements.
  • Utilize customer feedback, focus group insights, analytical reports, and internal business data astools for designing new products, revising existing product features, or rationalizing the existingproduct portfolio.
  • Translate the liability product strategy into detailed product plans using business requirements,functional specifications, and implementation roadmaps in order to ensure effective execution.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle for liability products, including productdesign, Shariah and regulatory approvals, system setup, testing, and market launch.
  • Launch customized and value-adding liability products catering to diverse customer segments(Ex. Salaried, self-employed, Commercial and SME, and professionals) to maintain a competitiveedge and achieve an enhanced market share.
  • Engage with the Shariah Compliance, Legal, and Finance departments during product designand modification to ensure adherence to Islamic Banking principles and sound financialmanagement.
  • Develop product bundles and value propositions that enhance customer convenience, promote cross-selling of the Banks products (Ex. Autos, Housing Finance, Cards, etc.) and support overall profitability.
  • Manage the creation and continuous updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process workflows, system parameters, and marketing collateral for the Banks Liability products, in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with front-end sales and channel teams for the planning and execution of product campaigns, ensuring targeted reach and periodic performance reviews.
  • Provide input into the design and revision of commission and incentive schemes for sales andservice teams to support business objectives.
  • Support the monitoring of sales scorecards for Relationship Managers/Officers, ensuringalignment with business performance targets.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with external partners (vendors, credit bureaus,insurance partners, etc.) involved in the liability products framework.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and analytical briefs to Senior Management on productperformance, initiatives, and pipeline projects.
  • Coordinate product approval processes using regulatory requirements, Shariah boardsubmissions, and internal governance forums in order to ensure timely and compliant productlaunches. Prepare product performance reports, business cases, and management presentations usingaccurate data and insights in order to support decision-making and senior management reviews.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance of liability products using policy reviews, audit observations, andcontrol checks in order to mitigate operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Contribute to female financial inclusion and financial literacy initiatives within assigned productsusing inclusive design principles and targeted propositions in order to support broader inclusionobjectives.
  • Ensure full compliance of the liability product suite with the Banks internal policies, Shariahguidelines, and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations.
  • Manage the implementation and monitoring of any government-led or SBP-driven initiativesrelated to Liability Products.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in preparing reports, and compliance data forsubmission to the SBP or internal management.
  • Participate in meetings with regulators and auditors, providing updates on product compliance,portfolio status, and operational processes.
