• Review the effectiveness of the internal control system and ensure its compliance as defined by the departmental SOPs.
  • Assists line manager in creating audit plans that are informed by risk assessments and aligned with the organization's priorities.
  • Develop and maintain contacts with the departments on ongoing basis by meeting people, to enhance relationship and trust.
  • Perform audits on the operational activities of departments outlined in the audit universe, including HR, Admin, Finance, Procurement, School Operations, and Health & Fire Safety. Ensure these audits are conducted in alignment with the approved audit plan and under the guidance of the line manager.
  • Execute audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements. Review policies, procedures, and operations to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the timely initiation, execution and completion of audits. Task would include (but not be limited to) submissions of drafts, completion of working papers, finalization of audit reports.
  • Carry out regular follow-up with the departments to update implementation status of observations.
  • Support the line manager in organizing and facilitating external audits related to compliance with regulatory laws. This includes preparing and guiding the auditee prior to the audit, ensuring they understand requirements and are adequately prepared.
  • Conduct pre-disbursement audits for payment vouchers to review and verify payment vouchers to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards before disbursement, documenting observations and coordinating with relevant departments to address any issues identified.
