- Manage all financial aspects related to import operations, including tracking and recording import transactions, duties, and tariffs.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely processing of import documents and clearance.
- Verify import documentation for accuracy and compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
- Calculate and record landed costs associated with imported goods, including freight, insurance, and other related expenses.
- Reconcile import-related accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare import-related financial reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, inventory valuation, and import duty reports.
- Assist in developing and implementing import-related accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize efficiency.
- Proven experience in import accounting or related role.
- Strong understanding of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade terms .
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of import duties, tariffs, and trade agreements.
