The Legal Affairs Manager will be a key member of our legal department, responsible for overseeing and managing all legal aspects of our business operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks to protect the interests of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Compliance:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the company and advise stakeholders on necessary actions.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that the legal risks have been identified and appropriate course of action to mitigate the risk has been taken

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contract terms align with company policies and objectives.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Identify legal risks and provide strategic advice to mitigate potential liabilities.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies in collaboration with other departments.

Dispute Resolution:

  • Manage and oversee legal disputes, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary and represent the company's interests.

Policy Development:

  • Develop, review, and update company policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate employees on legal matters and compliance requirements.

Corporate Governance:

  • Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with applicable corporate laws.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory documents.

Qualifications:

  • LLB/LLM degree from an reputed law college.
  • Atleast 4 years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on corporate law.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Should have an active bar membership.
  • Candidates having work experience with NBFC companies will be preferred.
