A Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various areas of a facility to ensure a safe and pleasant environment. The Facility Cleaner plays a vital role in supporting the overall facility operations by effectively managing time and paying close attention to detail to address all cleaning requirements. The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant experience and holds a matriculation certificate. While the role does not include team management responsibilities, the individual must work independently and proactively to maintain high cleanliness standards. This position requires knowledge of proper waste disposal methods, surface cleaning procedures, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals to ensure the environment remains hygienic and secure for all occupants.
Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive cleaning of floors, walls, windows, and surfaces using established sanitation techniques and appropriate cleaning products.
  • Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with safety compliance policies to minimize health risks and environmental impact.
  • Dispose of waste materials promptly and properly following facility waste disposal protocols to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional cleaning or maintenance and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition by performing regular maintenance and reporting any malfunctions or supply shortages.
  • Adhere strictly to safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment, to ensure personal and team safety.
  • Manage cleaning schedules efficiently to complete assigned tasks within designated time frames, balancing quality with productivity.
  • Report any facility defects, hazards, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel to support a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and waste disposal for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Follow all organizational policies and procedures related to sanitation and hygiene standards.
