EYP - DnA - Associate Manager

Based in Hyderabad, EY is looking for an Associate Manager – Data Engineering to join its Data and Analytics team. This role involves working on a variety of client projects that cover data management, visualization, business analytics, and automation across multiple industries and countries. The successful candidate will support analytics and data engineering initiatives on both cloud and on-premises platforms. Collaboration with technical architects, product and business experts, and development teams is essential to design, develop, deploy, and maintain advanced technology solutions that solve complex business challenges. The focus will be on modern data warehousing, data integration, and ETL processes using state-of-the-art tools and platforms to enable impactful decision-making through self-service analytics.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and select appropriate data warehousing tools for business intelligence, data management, metadata management, and warehouse administration in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design, develop, and test ETL workflows using GUI-driven tools, ensuring compliance with best practices in ETL and data warehouse development.
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including data mappings, technical specifications, production support guides, data dictionaries, and test cases.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to data warehouse and business intelligence development teams.
- Work closely with technology users to implement data governance frameworks, cloud strategies, and privacy and security protocols.
- Manage data orchestration, ingestion, ETL, and reporting architectures across platforms such as MS Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Assist in performance tuning of ETL and database processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; advanced degrees or equivalent business experience are preferred.
- At least 8 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in data warehousing, business intelligence, and data modeling.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake implementations.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing data warehouses, including staging and reporting schemas, data models, and cutover strategies using industry-standard tools.
- Experience with medium to complex migrations from on-premises to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- At least 3 years of experience working with Azure database services (Relational, NoSQL, Data Warehouse) and related Azure tools including Data Factory, Kafka, Data Explorer, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services, and Databricks.
- Proficiency in relational database design, modeling, and integration with platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse.
- Programming experience in Python for at least 3 years.
- Familiarity with business intelligence reporting tools like Power BI, Alteryx, and Tableau.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in Big 4 or technology consulting environments is highly desirable.
