Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a large team of CNC operators and technicians to ensure smooth production operations and adherence to schedules.
- Coordinate CNC machine setup, programming, and operation to meet manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize machining efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment within the CNC machining department.
- Plan workforce schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet fluctuating production demands.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve product design.
- Conduct training and development programs to enhance team capabilities and technical skills.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage inventory of machining tools, materials, and supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
- Prepare reports on departmental performance, machine utilization, and team productivity for senior management.
- Facilitate effective communication within the CNC machining department and across other company divisions.
