Enas (Pvt.) Ltd., located in Karachi, Pakistan, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join its finance team. The Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the financial integrity of Enas by overseeing invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax filings. The position demands proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities. The accountant will be tasked with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and assisting in audits and tax compliance matters, specifically related to Pakistans financial regulations. Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions accurately, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare, process, and verify invoices, payments to vendors, receipts, and employee expense claims while ensuring accuracy of bank details and necessary approvals.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile vendor statements, ensuring internal accounts are regularly reviewed for accuracy.
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and management reports to aid company decision-making.
Coordinate communication with tax consultants and auditors for all tax filings and audit procedures, facilitating internal and external audit requirements.
Assist in the preparation and submission of all relevant tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and withholding tax, in strict compliance with applicable Pakistan regulatory bodies like FBR and SRB.
Provide necessary documents, schedules, reconciliations, and relevant financial data to auditors during audit activities.
Maintain a well-organized filing system for all digital and physical financial records, invoices, corporate contracts, and supporting documents to ensure easy retrieval and compliance.
Manage compliance and coordinate activities related to statutory bodies such as SECP and FBR, ensuring timely corporate filings and adherence to regulations.
Utilize advanced Excel functionalities such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas to generate accurate financial reports and data analysis.
Employ accounting software tools, potentially including Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books, to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy.
Maintain clear and professional communication with internal departments, vendors, banks, tax authorities, consultants, and auditors to foster productive relationships and resolve financial inquiries efficiently.
Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and financial reporting standards to ensure ongoing compliance and to update management accordingly.
Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve workflow and ensure best practices.
