The Ticketing Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of ticketing operations within the travel agency. This includes booking and issuing tickets for airlines and other modes of transportation, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction through efficient and effective service.

Key Responsibilities:

Ticket Booking and Issuance:

  • Handle ticketing operations for domestic and international flights.

  • Manage bookings for trains, buses, and other transportation as required.

  • Use computerized reservation systems (CRS) and global distribution systems (GDS) to make reservations and issue tickets.

Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their travel needs and preferences.

  • Assist clients with itinerary changes, cancellations, and refunds.

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any ticketing issues.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure all ticketing transactions comply with company policies and industry regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, cancellations, and refunds.

  • Prepare and submit reports on ticketing activities to the Operations Manager.

Sales and Marketing Support:

  • Assist the sales team in promoting special offers and travel packages.

  • Provide clients with information on available travel options and special promotions.

  • Upsell additional services such as travel insurance, car rentals, and hotel bookings.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with airlines, transportation companies, and other service providers to secure reservations and tickets.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and partners to ensure smooth ticketing operations.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Operate ticketing software and systems efficiently.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, software updates, and best practices in ticketing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in ticketing, reservations, or a similar role within the travel industry.

  • Proficiency in using CRS and GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).

  • Strong knowledge of airline fare rules, ticketing procedures, and travel regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
