The E-Commerce Catalog and Listing Manager diligently maintains organized and up-to-date product records, executes bulk updates, and performs routine audits to uphold marketplace compliance and optimize listing performance. This role requires proficiency with content management and inventory systems, advanced spreadsheet skills, and familiarity with image editing and SEO principles for e-commerce. By working closely with purchasing, warehouse, marketing, and operations, the manager ensures smooth new product launches and assists in developing standardized catalog management procedures that enhance overall efficiency and support business growth.
Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize the master product catalog and inventory database with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, photographers, designers, and internal departments to collect and verify comprehensive product information.
  • Create, optimize, and continuously update product listings across Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, eBay, Walmart Marketplace, and other e-commerce channels.
  • Manage product data including SKUs, UPC/EAN/GTIN codes, product variations, dimensions, weights, pricing, and inventory attributes accurately.
  • Ensure all product-related media such as images, videos, manuals, certificates, and marketing assets are properly stored, linked, and accessible.
  • Monitor catalog accuracy regularly to identify and resolve issues such as missing, duplicate, or incorrect information.
  • Execute bulk uploads, listings revisions, and inventory updates utilizing spreadsheets and marketplace management tools.
  • Support timely new product launches by verifying completeness of all necessary data, assets, and listings before going live.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, warehouse, marketing, and operations teams to maintain consistent and current product information.
  • Conduct routine audits of listings to enhance quality, improve compliance with marketplace standards, and implement corrections promptly.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standardized processes and best practices for catalog and inventory management to streamline workflows.
  • Apply knowledge of SEO principles to product listings to improve discoverability and sales performance on various marketplaces.
  • Perform basic image editing tasks using tools such as Canva or Photoshop to enhance product presentation when necessary.
  • Leverage experience with Product Information Management (PIM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or inventory systems to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.
