EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a visionary Head of Learning and Development to lead our initiatives in enhancing employee skills and performance across various levels of our organization. This role entails the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive training programs aimed at our distribution channels, external partners, and head office staff. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and will oversee a dedicated team of 15 professionals in the Learning and Development department. Your primary focus will be to ensure that our training strategies align seamlessly with organizational goals, effectively bridging current and future skills gaps while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional advancement.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with company objectives and enhances the skills of employees throughout the organization.
  • Design and implement targeted training interventions for both sales/distribution channels and head office personnel, ensuring content relevance and effectiveness.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of innovative training programs for sales agents and other stakeholders, maintaining a focus on compliance with regulatory training requirements.
  • Ensure the continuous assessment and updating of training programs to meet evolving standards and practices within the industry.
  • Implement a blended learning approach that effectively combines digital learning tools, face-to-face interactions, and on-the-job training to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Manage the Learning and Development budget for each distribution channel, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet training demands.
  • Collaborate closely with Distribution Channel heads to customize training programs that address specific needs and challenges faced by their teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external training providers to enhance the quality and diversity of learning opportunities available to staff.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of training programs for head office employees, in cooperation with the HR department, to address skill requirements identified through workforce analysis.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through established metrics, using insights to refine and enhance learning initiatives.
  • Report regularly on the alignment of training programs with organizational objectives, providing data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization, championing personal and career growth among employees.
  • Mentor team members within the Learning and Development department, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and personal growth among staff.
