The Area Sales Manager is to drive the area sales team's performance, align sales strategies with overall business goals, and ensure the successful implementation of sales initiatives. This role aims to enhance sales productivity, optimize customer satisfaction, and achieve revenue targets through effective leadership and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and set sales targets for the area team to align with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and implement training programs for sales staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, analyzing data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Create and implement sales strategies for different territories within the region.
  • Supervise and manage the area sales team to ensure high performance and goal achievement.
  • Develop regional sales plans and set quotas in alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to store managers in their daily operations.
  • Assess the performance of stores and individual employees to identify strengths and areas for development.
  • Report on sales results for the region, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Forecast sales for the region on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Identify staffing needs and train new sales personnel.
  • Study market trends to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Addressing Potential Problems and Suggesting Solutions: Identify potential issues and propose effective solutions promptly.
  • Plan for the achievement of individual and divisional sales targets in line with company strategies and policies.
  • Stay updated with economic indicators, market trends, supply and demand factors, and competitor activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and activities.
  • Guide employees to enhance the effectiveness of cross-selling initiatives.
  • Create and periodically review both long-term and short-term sales strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as an Area Manager, or similar senior sales role.
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
  • Familiarity with CRM software.
  • Understanding of store operations.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
