Drhud is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge dermatology telehealth platform. This role involves building reliable, scalable software that supports doctor-patient interactions, messaging, and consultation workflows essential to everyday healthcare delivery. The engineer will work extensively with a TypeScript codebase, handling tasks from UI development to backend API implementation and database management to ensure seamless end-to-end feature delivery. Collaboration with product managers, designers, clinical experts, and other engineers is a key part of this role, fostering a holistic approach to software design and release. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in full stack development with strong technical skills in frontend and backend technologies including React, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL. Experience with modern frameworks like Next.js and NestJS is crucial. The role focuses on building responsive, accessible, and secure applications with attention to data privacy and healthcare standards. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the engineer is expected to take ownership of code quality, implement automated testing and deployment, and address production challenges effectively to maintain a dependable telehealth environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy end-to-end features across various components of the telehealth platform, including doctor, messaging, and consultation workflows.
- Translate complex product requirements into user-friendly, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces implementing responsive design principles.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as product management, design, clinical staff, and engineering to plan, prioritize, and deliver software releases.
- Review and maintain high-quality code, troubleshoot issues in production environments, and enhance application performance.
- Implement automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines to ensure stable and efficient software delivery.
- Design and consume GraphQL APIs using Apollo, ensuring efficient data fetching and manipulation.
- Develop backend services using Node.js and NestJS or similar frameworks, focusing on secure authentication and authorization.
- Manage relational database schemas and optimize queries using PostgreSQL along with Prisma ORM for effective data modeling and persistence.
- Adhere strictly to best practices around data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance relevant to healthcare software.
- Incorporate modern CSS techniques, including Tailwind, to build visually appealing and accessible web interfaces.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions to promote continuous learning and improvement across the engineering team.
- Integrate third-party REST APIs and webhooks such as payment gateways, email, and messaging providers to extend platform functionality, when necessary.
- Leverage Git version control and adhere to defined workflows for managing code changes and releases.
- Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and scaling efforts to ensure the platform remains performant and reliable under varied loads.
