The IT Coordinator at Door of Awareness plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure across the Head Office and various field locations. This position involves managing and supporting all hardware and software components, including computers, printers, scanners, and network devices, to ensure seamless operations. The coordinator provides timely technical support to staff, troubleshoots technical issues, and oversees the installation and updates of software and security programs. Maintaining data security, conducting regular backups, and training staff on IT best practices are also key aspects of this role.
This role requires an individual with a strong background in IT support and administration, possessing excellent organizational and communication skills. The IT Coordinator does not manage a team but collaborates closely with vendors and service providers to procure and maintain IT equipment. The role is critical in supporting both head office and remote field teams, ensuring that digital communication platforms and data management systems function smoothly to fulfill the organizational mission effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the organization's IT infrastructure including computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and networking hardware.
- Provide prompt technical support and problem resolution for hardware, software, network connectivity, email, and system-related issues to staff members.
- Monitor and maintain office networks, ensuring stable internet connectivity and efficient communication systems throughout the organization.
- Install, configure, and regularly update operating systems, antivirus software, security applications, and other essential software tools.
- Maintain comprehensive inventory records of all IT assets and equipment in the organization, ensuring accurate tracking and management.
- Conduct regular data backups and implement robust data security measures to protect organizational information and maintain confidentiality.
- Support and facilitate online meetings, virtual training sessions, webinars, and other digital communication platforms to enhance remote collaboration.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for the timely procurement, maintenance, and repair of IT equipment and services.
- Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of organizational databases, Management Information Systems (MIS), and digital reporting platforms.
- Deliver training sessions to staff on basic IT usage, best practices for cybersecurity, and efficient utilization of digital tools to improve overall IT literacy.
- Prepare and submit regular monthly reports detailing IT activities, status of IT assets, and resolution of technical issues encountered within the organization.
- Provide IT support and problem-solving assistance to the field offices and project sites as required to ensure consistent IT service delivery.
