To coordinate and oversee the implementation of integrated Nutrition and ECD interventions at the district level, ensuring quality service delivery, supervision of teams, and strong coordination with district authorities.


Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Representation

    • Provide strategic leadership and coordination for integrated Nutrition and Early Childhood Development (ECD) interventions at the district level.
    • Participate in district-level strategic planning meetings, reviews, and coordination forums related to Nutrition, ECD, and child wellbeing.
    • Provide regular technical and operational updates to the Project Manager and Nutrition & ECD Specialist.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with district government departments (Health, Education, Social Welfare), donor representatives, local partners, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent MERF in the District Coordination Committee on Nutrition (DCCN) and other relevant sector coordination platforms.
    • Facilitate information sharing and learning among partners and stakeholders to strengthen integrated Nutrition–ECD programming.

     

    Programme Quality and Management

    • Coordinate with the donor and Nutrition Specialist to develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly workplans for Nutrition and ECD teams.
    • Oversee the quality implementation of nutrition, MIYCN, wasting prevention and management, ECD, and maternal/adolescent nutrition activities across facility, outreach, and community platforms.
    • Ensure clear, accurate, and transparent enrolment of eligible and verified beneficiaries, in line with programme criteria and accountability standards.
    • Conduct regular monitoring and supportive supervision of facility-based and outreach activities, including OTPs, ECD PlayLabs, community sessions, and screening activities.
    • Coordinate field team movements and ensure teams have timely access to information, supplies, equipment, and logistical support.
    • Ensure close coordination with field teams and submit daily, weekly, and monthly programme reports in collaboration with MIS/MEAL staff.
    • Convene and participate in review meetings with district stakeholders and partners to assess progress, address challenges, and adapt implementation strategies.
    • Ensure integration of PSEAH, safeguarding, AAP, gender, and inclusion across all district-level activities.
    Perform any other duties assigned by the line Manager in line with programme objectives.
