Vfx Editor

Dime Republic is seeking a skilled Vfx Editor with at least two years of experience in visual effects editing to join our creative team. The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in a variety of visual effects software and has a strong foundation in compositing techniques, motion graphics, and color grading. As a Vfx Editor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing video projects by seamlessly integrating visual effects elements, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet the artistic vision and technical standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage editing workflows effectively, and solid communication skills to collaborate with other departments. In this position, you will work closely with directors, animators, and post-production teams to apply advanced editing methods, including green screen keying and basic 3D animation knowledge, to produce compelling visual narratives. Time management skills are essential to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it requires a proactive and independent approach to delivering consistent, high-standard visual effects content that supports the creative goals of Dime Republic.

Responsibilities

Edit and assemble visual effects sequences using specialized software ensuring seamless integration with live-action footage.
Apply compositing techniques to combine multiple visual elements, including green screen footage, to create realistic and compelling scenes.
Enhance video projects with motion graphics and perform color grading to achieve the desired artistic look and feel.
Collaborate closely with directors, animators, and other post-production professionals to realize creative concepts accurately.
Manage and organize editing workflows efficiently to meet project deadlines and production schedules.
Utilize a basic understanding of 3D animation to complement visual effects editing tasks.
Ensure the quality and consistency of visual effects output by reviewing and refining sequences as needed.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project progress and address any issues promptly.
Maintain attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously to deliver polished final products.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in visual effects software and editing techniques to continuously improve work quality.
