QA Engineer

Dime Republic is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with at least two years of experience to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate performs both manual and automated testing to identify bugs and performance issues, helping to improve the overall user experience. This role requires strong expertise in test automation frameworks, continuous integration and deployment processes, and comprehensive testing methodologies including API, security, and performance testing. The QA Engineer collaborates closely with development teams to create test cases and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to quality standards. This position does not include team management responsibilities but requires effective communication and coordination skills to work within cross-functional teams. The QA Engineer contributes to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle at Dime Republic by implementing best practices in test case management, reporting, and monitoring testing activities. Candidates must have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high-quality software releases.

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and design appropriate test strategies.
Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure reliable and automated delivery pipelines.
Manage test cases effectively using test case management tools and track defects throughout their lifecycle using bug tracking systems.
Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization in software applications.
Perform API testing to validate the behavior and security of backend services and integrations.
Execute security testing to detect vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
Analyze test results, log defects clearly and precisely, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Contribute to improving testing processes by suggesting enhancements to test automation and quality assurance practices.
Stay updated on emerging testing tools and methodologies to enhance the overall effectiveness of the QA function.
