Devops Engineer

Dime Republic is seeking a skilled Devops Engineer with at least three years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and managing the continuous integration and deployment processes that keep our infrastructure reliable and scalable. This position focuses on automating workflows, managing containerized environments, and implementing infrastructure as code to improve operational efficiency. The engineer will work closely with development and operations to ensure smooth application releases, seamless infrastructure provisioning, and robust monitoring. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker, experience with configuration management tools and automation scripting, and solid knowledge of cloud services management. This role does not involve managing a team, but requires effective collaboration across multiple departments to maintain seamless DevOps pipelines and enforce security best practices. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are critical to succeed in this position while ensuring system stability and performance at scale.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate application delivery and infrastructure updates.Manage infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools to automate provisioning and ensure reliable environments.Develop and maintain containerized environments using Docker, Docker Compose, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes including cluster management and networking.Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef to automate system configuration and management.Monitor system health and application performance using tools like Grafana and other logging and monitoring solutions.Implement automation scripts primarily using Python to optimize workflows and increase deployment efficiency.Manage version control systems effectively, especially Git, including branching, merging, and rebasing strategies to support development cycles.Work with Helm and Helm Charts to simplify Kubernetes application deployment and management.Ensure adherence to security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle.Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve reliability.Maintain and upgrade CI/CD tools, Jenkins pipelines, and other automation software regularly.Provide documentation for workflows, processes, and system configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and operational consistency.Stay abreast of evolving cloud services management and microservices architecture to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
