Backend developer

Dime Republic is seeking an experienced Backend Developer with at least four years of professional experience to join our dynamic technology team. The role requires a strong understanding of RESTful API development, database management, and server-side scripting. The candidate will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines without management responsibilities. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and RESTful APIs that are scalable and secure.
Manage and optimize database systems ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient server-side code adhering to security best practices and company standards.
Implement and maintain continuous integration workflows to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery.
Conduct unit testing and utilize API testing tools to verify backend functionality and performance.
Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and responsiveness.
Maintain version control repositories and manage codebase through systematic branching and merging strategies.
Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to recommend process improvements.
Document backend processes, coding standards, and architecture to support maintainability and onboarding.
Support database administration tasks such as backup, recovery, and tuning as required.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and adherence to project requirements.
