Dimas Shipping is seeking a diligent Accounts professional to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring all transactions comply with applicable tax and audit regulations. You will work closely with internal departments and external auditors to support financial transparency and accountability. Your contribution will help Dimas Shipping maintain robust fiscal health and achieve its financial objectives efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording, verifying, and reconciling financial data.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between internal records and external accounts.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, preparing necessary documentation for filing and audits.
- Support audit preparation by organizing financial documents and responding to inquiry requests.
- Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data.
- Lead and supervise a small team member, providing guidance and oversight on daily accounting tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support overall business operations.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and financial controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate clearly with team members and management regarding financial status and issues.
