Digitaiz is seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) professional with at least two years of experience to join our dynamic team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software testing concepts, quality assurance methodologies, and the entire testing life cycle. This role requires both automated and manual testing expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The SQA professional will work closely with development teams under agile methodologies, contributing to the design and execution of test cases while tracking and managing defects effectively using industry-standard tools. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication are essential to continuously improve product quality.
The role involves extensive use of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, coupled with performance testing, API testing, and various black-box testing techniques including equivalence partitioning and decision table testing. The candidate will participate actively in continuous integration processes to seamlessly integrate automated test scripts and support rapid software releases. Additionally, the SQA will maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans and defect life cycles using tools like JIRA. This is an on-site position in Lahore that demands a proactive approach to quality assurance without team management responsibilities, focusing instead on hands-on testing and collaboration to enhance software reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams within agile environments to understand requirements and define comprehensive testing strategies.
- Plan and conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, performance, API, and black-box testing techniques.
- Utilize test automation frameworks such as Selenium to create and maintain robust automated test scripts.
- Track, document, and manage software defects efficiently using bug tracking tools such as JIRA throughout the defect life cycle.
- Participate in continuous integration activities to integrate test automation into build and release pipelines.
- Analyze results from testing activities to identify issues, report bugs, and suggest improvements for product quality.
- Apply quality assurance best practices and methodologies to ensure high standards in software deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Use analytical skills to evaluate software behavior and perform root cause analysis of defects.
- Engage regularly with team members to communicate quality status and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
- Stay current with emerging testing tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance testing effectiveness.
- Ensure thorough documentation of test processes and results to facilitate knowledge sharing and future testing efforts.
- Maintain a strong focus on detail and quality in executing test activities and reporting findings.
- Support performance testing efforts to evaluate software responsiveness and scalability under various conditions.
