DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and Linux environments. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable deployment systems while working closely with development teams to improve application performance and reliability. The position requires a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills to manage production infrastructure effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure that is reliable and scalable.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Manage cloud services on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or equivalents.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Configure and maintain Linux servers and production environments.
- Monitor system performance, availability, logs, and overall infrastructure health.
- Troubleshoot issues related to deployment, servers, networks, and application infrastructure promptly.
- Implement best practices for backup, recovery, security, and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with developers and engineering teams to enhance deployment processes and application reliability.
- Manage Git-based workflows and source control integrations.
- Identify and implement improvements to infrastructure performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with Docker and preferably Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, SSL/TLS, firewalls, and web servers.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools is preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with the following technologies will be considered an advantage:
- Terraform and Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Nginx web server administration.
- Jenkins and GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD for pipeline management.
- AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Azure cloud services expertise.
- Monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Scripting skills in Bash or Python.
