We are implementing a capacity-building program for Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs). Through a modular program, our implementing partners will deliver advocacy trainings to disability rights advocates from the target districts of Punjab, KP, Balochistan, and Sindh to equip them with the skills needed to effectively advocate for the implementation of key legislation, and where needed, new policies to address barriers to full electoral participation and lead the advocacy campaign focuses could include: passing disability rights legislation; advocacy for the implementation of the Disability Rights Act; operationalizing the electoral accessibility commitments laid out in the ECP’s next Strategic Plan; and adapting the special national identity card (SNIC) to include data collection about voter accessibility needs, particularly for those who are subject to multiple forms of discrimination (i.e. women with disabilities and people with disabilities from ethnic or religious minority communities).
We are looking to engage a consultant/company to design a capacity building modular training program for OPDs in consultation with the relevant stakeholders. The duration to complete this assignment will be six months.
