Descent is seeking a skilled Computer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in computer operations with a focus on online tender submission and proficient use of electronic platforms such as e-pads. This role requires someone detail-oriented and capable of handling digital tasks efficiently to support organizational functions. The Computer Operator will manage and oversee daily computer-related activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of online tenders and data entries.
This position involves supervising a team of three personnel, guiding and coordinating their activities to maintain smooth workflow and adherence to company standards. The role demands clear communication skills, responsibility for training team members on designated systems, and maintaining high-quality output in fast-paced, dynamic environments. The candidate must have at least one year of experience and demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage computer systems to perform online tender submissions and related tasks.
- Ensure accurate and timely uploading of tenders on various online portals according to company protocols.
- Utilize e-pads and other electronic platforms efficiently to support organizational requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of a team of three personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Train and assist team members in using relevant software and online submission systems.
- Maintain records and logs of all online submissions and related computer operations.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues related to computer hardware and software to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather required information for tender submissions.
- Adhere to company security policies and data protection procedures during all computer operations.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge on digital submission platforms and tools to enhance productivity.
