Zones, a global leader in end-to-end IT solutions and a Minority Business Enterprise with over 35 years of industry experience, is seeking a Demand Planner to join their team. This role is vital in ensuring that products are available at the right place, time, and quantity by utilizing strong analytical skills and managing extensive data sets. The Demand Planner will work closely with operations, supply chain, and warehousing teams to optimize inventory levels and enhance process efficiencies. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about inventory management and data analytics who want to contribute to a dynamic IT solutions provider operating across more than 120 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze SKU inventory management to reduce overall inventory levels effectively.
- Develop detailed inventory forecasts for a diverse range of product types.
- Manage and analyze inventories for all clients, ensuring accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Support the Weekly Order Review process to align inventory with actual demand.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to eliminate aged inventory and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Lead continuous process improvement initiatives within the Demand Planning function.
- Exercise independent judgment and intellectual rigor in decision-making related to inventory and demand planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong statistical analysis capabilities with experience handling large datasets.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an analyst role, preferably within supply chain or inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, power pivot, lookups, formulas, and data sourcing techniques.
- Experience with demand planning software such as Kinaxis and other spreadsheet tools.
- Solid understanding of supply chain and procurement processes and strategies.
- Knowledge of inventory and materials management best practices, including classification methods (A, B, C, D), safety stock management, lean principles, and consignment inventory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and present effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, customer service, negotiation, interpersonal, decision-making, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with the Enterprise IT procurement channel.
- Experience with Microsoft AX/Dynamics or other commercial inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft CRM and Power BI is advantageous.
