Compliance & Security Specialist

The Compliance & Security Specialist at Deline Media Pakistan Pvt Ltd is instrumental in ensuring that the organization adheres to healthcare regulations, security standards, and internal governance policies. This role is vital for supporting security assessments, compliance audits, risk management, and vendor evaluations to safeguard sensitive patient information and uphold customer trust. The specialist works closely with teams across Product, Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Operations to implement security best practices and ensure continuous monitoring and compliance. This position requires solid knowledge of healthcare compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and ISO 27001 along with cybersecurity fundamentals and information security best practices. The Compliance & Security Specialist contributes to the development and enforcement of security policies, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance documentation. Although this role does not involve team management, it demands strong collaboration and communication across departments to maintain high security standards and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure organizational compliance with healthcare regulatory frameworks including HIPAA and relevant international standards.
- Support internal and external compliance audits and participate in certification processes.
- Monitor adherence to security policies, standards, and procedures across departments.
- Conduct security risk assessments and propose effective mitigation plans.
- Manage vulnerability identification, track remediation efforts, and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date security documentation, policies, standard operating procedures, and audit evidence.
- Coordinate security assessments and risk reviews for vendors and third-party service providers.
- Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to promote secure software development and deployment practices.
- Support the monitoring, investigation, and root cause analysis of security incidents.
- Perform periodic access reviews to enforce least-privilege access controls and prevent unauthorized data exposure.
- Facilitate security awareness programs and compliance training initiatives for employees.
- Prepare responses to customer security questionnaires and maintain compliance documentation for due diligence.
- Track compliance metrics, generate management reports, and suggest enhancements to the security governance framework.
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to continuously improve security posture.
- Uphold the organization's confidentiality, integrity, and accountability standards to avoid major compliance violations.
