YouTube Video Editor – DaVinci Resolve

Dazzle VR seeks a skilled YouTube Video Editor specializing in DaVinci Resolve to create engaging and visually stunning video content. This role demands expertise in video editing, color grading, and audio editing to enhance the storytelling quality and viewer retention of YouTube videos. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience using DaVinci Resolve, with a strong ability to apply advanced color correction techniques, manage LUTs, and incorporate special effects and motion graphics. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the editor must work collaboratively within a dynamic creative environment to deliver polished, professional videos that align with Dazzle VR's brand and vision. The editor is responsible for all phases of the editing process, from trimming and assembling footage to applying sophisticated visual effects and animations. A deep understanding of YouTube-specific storytelling techniques and viewer engagement strategies is essential. The role also requires proficiency in audio editing, including sound effect integration, mixing, and synchronization with visuals. Mastery of green screen techniques, masking, tracking, transitions, text and title animations will ensure the creation of high-quality videos that captivate audiences. The candidate should be detail-oriented, creative, and capable of meeting tight deadlines while consistently delivering exceptional content.
Responsibilities

Edit and assemble raw footage into polished YouTube videos using DaVinci Resolve, maintaining high visual and narrative standards.
Perform advanced color correction and grading, including HDR processes and LUT application to achieve consistent and appealing imagery.
Integrate special effects, visual effects, motion graphics, dynamic transitions, and animated text to enhance video storytelling.
Apply masking, tracking, and green screen (chroma key) techniques to support complex video compositions.
Manage audio editing and mixing tasks, including sound effect selection, synchronization, and audio clarity improvement.
Incorporate B-roll footage to enrich video content and maintain viewer engagement throughout the video timeline.
Apply YouTube-specific storytelling and viewer retention techniques to maximize audience interaction and watch-time.
Collaborate with content creators and producers to ensure videos meet brand guidelines and project expectations.
Continuously review and refine editing workflows to improve efficiency and quality of output.
