Business Development Officer

While this role involves significant field activities, approximately 80% of the time, it also requires efficient administrative management, including data handling and proposal creation using advanced digital tools. This role is designed for a business development professional with a minimum of five years experience and a strong background in sales strategy, market research, and business networking, ideally within business-to-business environments or similar asset placement operations. The incumbent demonstrates exceptional skill in managing partner relationships, analyzing venue feasibility, and contributing strategic insights to organizational goals without team management responsibilities. The candidate is expected to operate independently, displaying adaptability, strong communication skills, and proficiency in leveraging artificial intelligence tools to enhance workflow efficiency and communication clarity.
Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field visits to identify and evaluate high-footfall venues suitable for donation box placement, such as retail chains, restaurants, petrol stations, clinics, gyms, and corporate offices.
• Engage business owners and managers persuasively to secure new partnerships and add their venues to the Donation Box network.
• Prepare detailed feasibility reports for each potential location, analyzing foot traffic, security considerations, visibility, and donor demographics to ensure optimal placement.
• Draft compelling and tailored partnership proposals and official correspondence to facilitate relationship cultivation and partnership onboarding.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with venue owners, store managers, and security personnel to ensure the ongoing safety and prominence of donation boxes.
• Serve as the primary contact for new venue onboarding, ensuring smooth integration and adherence to organizational protocols.
• Coordinate with the Business Development Manager to align field activities and acquisition strategies with broader organizational objectives and market trends.
• Monitor and report progress routinely, maintaining accurate records of leads, site visits, and successful placements through detailed Excel tracking tools.
• Analyze market conditions and competitor placement strategies to recommend refinements to the organization's approach, enhancing placement effectiveness.
• Leverage artificial intelligence tools to compose proposals, summarize research findings, and optimize communication to improve productivity and accuracy.
• Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive database of prospects and partnerships using advanced Excel functions, ensuring precise data capture and reporting.
• Efficiently plan routes, schedules, and prospect prioritization to maximize fieldwork productivity and meet monthly placement targets.
• Adapt flexibly to varied work environments and schedules, including off-hour engagements with partners requiring uncommon availability.
• Maintain personal transportation and ensure readiness for extensive travel commitments inherent to the roles field-centric nature.
