Dawat-e-Islami Trust is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Officer to join its finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, processing financial transactions, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. This role demands a strong command of accounting principles, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with various financial software and tools. The Accounts Officer plays a critical role in managing the companys accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment processing, and performing bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity within the organization. This position requires a professional with at least two years of relevant experience in accounts and finance, holding a qualification in commerce or equivalent certification such as ACCA (part-qualified). The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple financial responsibilities efficiently. While this role does not involve managing a team, it involves coordination with internal departments and management to ensure smooth financial operations and adherence to deadlines.
Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily accounting records and accurately record all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and process vouchers, invoices, and payment documents in a timely manner.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure all payments and receipts are monitored and documented.
  • Perform thorough bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations regularly to verify financial accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements for management review and decision-making.
  • Maintain precise financial documentation and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and departments to resolve financial discrepancies and provide necessary information.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures to support internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Utilize accounting software and MS Excel efficiently to complete tasks and generate reports.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial data.
  • Complete other accounts-related duties and special projects as assigned by management in a timely manner.
