The Data Officer will be responsible for overseeing routine data processes, ensuring data quality, facilitates in effective exchange of information and supporting the organization's data needs through various reporting and analysis tasks. This role involves developing data tools, training staff, and contributing to documentation and content dissemination.

Responsibilities

- Manage routine data including data collection, cleaning and analyzing to ensure completeness and quality.
- Identify and report any errors discovered during data review to the appropriate team members, and provide assistance in resolving those issues.
- With guidance from appropriate team leads, build new components of database, data collection/aggregation tools etc.
- Facilitate exchange of information among provincial offices, projects and department.
- Perform basic descriptive data analyses, create and update pivot tables and charts for routine monitoring and as well as for ad-hoc requests.
- Prepare accurate qualitative and quantitative reports, case studies and success stories.
- Propose and develop content for dissemination including, PPT Presentations, blogs, other social media and technical manuals etc.
- Possess in-dept knowledge of EMR and HMIS Systems.
- Provide training to project staff on their roles and responsibilities within the MIS/HMIS/DHIS/EMR system
- Exhibit teamwork and collaborate effectively with other MERF programs and departments.
- Perform any other identical duties as assigned.
