Data Intern

This Data Intern position is an excellent opportunity to support a client project focused on AI model development. The role involves preparing and ensuring the quality of datasets used for AI training, testing, and evaluation. The intern will be responsible for data annotation, cleaning, and organization to maintain high standards required for successful AI projects. This position is not an internal role at Quanrio but rather a client-supported internship, offering hands-on experience in managing datasets critical to AI workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, organize, and structure datasets for AI and custom model projects.
- Label and annotate various data types including text, images, and documents according to specific guidelines.
- Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure datasets are accurate, consistent, and complete.
- Identify and flag duplicate, incorrect, incomplete, or low-quality data entries.
- Categorize and maintain data in a standardized and organized manner.
- Perform basic data validation and preprocessing tasks to prepare data for AI use.
- Keep detailed records of annotation and data cleaning activities.
- Adhere strictly to project-specific data standards, annotation instructions, and quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with AI and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Support ongoing efforts to maintain well-structured and reliable datasets for AI projects.

Required Qualifications:
- Final year student or recent graduate in Business Administration (BBA), preferably with a focus on Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to follow structured instructions and detailed annotation protocols.
- Basic knowledge of datasets, data organization, and data handling principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, CSV files, or similar data management tools.
- Capability to consistently manage repetitive and detail-oriented tasks.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and data quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- This is a full-time, onsite role based in MACHS, Karachi, requiring morning shift availability.
- The position offers a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000.
- The work environment is collaborative and dynamic, providing valuable exposure to AI data preparation and quality assurance processes.
- In-person attendance is mandatory, fostering direct interaction with the team and hands-on learning.
