Data Entry & Annotation Intern

This internship opportunity is with a client organization and is not part of Quanrio’s internal hiring process. It is designed for a detail-oriented individual to assist in the preparation and quality assurance of datasets used in AI model training, testing, and evaluation. The role involves operational tasks such as data entry, annotation, cleaning, validation, and quality checking. This is a non-technical internship, requiring no prior programming or AI/ML development experience, making it suitable for candidates interested in gaining practical exposure to data handling within AI projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean, organize, and structure datasets for AI and custom model projects.
- Label and annotate text, images, documents, and other data according to established guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure datasets are accurate, consistent, and complete.
- Identify and resolve issues such as duplicate, incorrect, incomplete, or low-quality data.
- Categorize and maintain data in a standardized and organized format.
- Perform basic data validation and preprocessing tasks to support dataset readiness.
- Keep detailed records of annotation and data cleaning activities.
- Follow project-specific data standards, annotation instructions, and quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with AI and technical teams to address and resolve data-related challenges.
- Support the upkeep of well-structured and reliable datasets essential for ongoing AI initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Final year student or recent graduate in Business Administration (BBA), preferably with a specialization in Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to follow structured instructions and detailed annotation guidelines precisely.
- Basic understanding of datasets, data organization, and data handling principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, CSV files, or similar data management tools.
- Capacity to manage repetitive, detail-focused tasks with consistency.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and data quality standards.

Additional Details
The internship is full-time and requires onsite attendance during the morning shift at the MACHS location in Karachi. The monthly compensation for this role is Rs 25,000.
