CYBERSECURITY OPERATIONS EXPERTS

Based at the HUB in Flémalle, Belgium, this role reports directly to the Global Architect and Security Manager and is crucial in supporting security projects across Europe. The successful candidate will assist the Information Security Officer by executing cybersecurity operations, coordinating SecOps activities, tracking vulnerability remediation, and providing operational guidance to the team. Working within established procedures and governance frameworks, you will help strengthen security operations and improve overall team performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Track and drive vulnerability remediation activities by ensuring timely follow-up, monitoring progress, and escalating critical issues when necessary.
- Support and coordinate security operations by reviewing alerts, performing initial triage, managing security tickets, and following established escalation procedures.
- Review and manage email quarantine requests in compliance with approved security policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate and support regional cybersecurity, compliance, audit, and regulatory activities through evidence collection, action tracking, and stakeholder follow-up.
- Assist in preparing documentation and materials for Belgian CCB, French ANSSI, or other local authority-related requests as assigned.
- Contribute to IT/OT cybersecurity initiatives by supporting remediation efforts, conducting security reviews, identifying risks, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Document and report security activities, findings, remediation progress, and operational status clearly and accurately.
- Support day-to-day SecOps activities by allocating tasks, reviewing work quality, and assisting the Information Security Officer to maintain operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT or a related field, preferably with a specialization in cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or vulnerability management.
- Relevant certifications such as CSSP and ISO27001, along with practical experience working within the NIS2 Framework.
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments and a solid understanding of Linux systems, SIEM, NDR/EDR technologies.
- Familiarity with vulnerability remediation, patch management, endpoint security, and ticketing tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven team player focused on quality delivery and smooth daily operations.
- Ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately while maintaining accountability and operational efficiency.
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory; proficiency in Dutch is considered an advantage.
