Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Cooks and chefs are responsible for chopping, slicing, dicing, marinating, and other pre-cooking tasks.
Cooking: Cooking food in big batches 3 times a day. The cooking methods are grilling, frying, roasting, steaming, and sauteing.
Menu Preparation: Prepare a menu that is rich in nutrients and healthy to eat.
Food Presentation: The Dishes should be presented in a visually appealing way.
Maintaining Quality Standards: Chefs are responsible for maintaining high-quality standards for food preparation, presentation, and taste. This includes ensuring that all dishes meet the company's set standards and comply with food safety SOPs.
Kitchen Management: Cooks and chefs oversee kitchen operations, including coordinating food preparation activities, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods.
Inventory Management: Ordering ingredients and supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
Adaptability and Multitasking: Must be able to work efficiently under pressure, juggling multiple tasks simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
