Core Assists is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and project-based accounting, with the ability to analyze and report on production, operational, and project-related costs. This role requires proficiency in managing cost-to-complete estimates, variance analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS. The Staff Accountant plays a vital role in supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and assisting with internal and external audits. Collaboration with operations, project management, and finance teams is essential to deliver accurate financial insights and support business decision-making.
The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 2 to 7 years of relevant experience. They demonstrate expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and revenue recognition under the Percentage of Completion (POC) method. This individual is highly organized and analytical, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines without team management responsibilities. Familiarity with ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of ASC 606 or IFRS 15 are important for success in this role. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred but not mandatory. The position operates in the late evening to early morning hours to align with company requirements.
