We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join us as a Coordinator and Liaison Officer based in Quetta, Balochistan. This is a crucial role that requires strong coordination, liaising, presentation, communication and organizational skills to effectively coordinate with authorities, key stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a focal point of contact for the organization in Quetta and facilitate communication between various departments, authorities and stakeholders.
  • Navigate and handle the norms and regulations set by the provincial government and relevant authorities.
  • Support country team in obtaining multiple permissions from the provincial government and other relevant authorities for operations in Quetta.
  • Assist the country team in establishing a coordination office in Quetta to facilitate coordination with authorities
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
  • Manage correspondence, emails, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaison with line departments and relevant stakeholders to provide essential data and key needs of communities
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Actively develop and maintain effective working relationships with government departments, UN agencies, international and local NGOs, and other relevant actors working Quetta.
  • Maintain a productive working relationship with key stakeholders working in Balochistan
  • Ensure key field concerns and challenges are reported to the organization and proposed solutions.
  • Ensure the smooth initiation of organizational plans, and functioning of operations and promote cooperation among partners.

Qualification and Experience:

A master’s degree in social, development sciences or relevant field from an accredited, recognized university. Minimum of eight (08) years’ experience in coordination, liaising, project management is required.

  • Proven experience in maintaining liaison with provincial government, line departments and other key provincial stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of government department’s key requirements, norms and regulations.
  • Experienced in the operations of key government institutions and civil society organizations;
  • Knowledge and understanding of local languages, culture, norms and sensitivities
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and mobilize diverse partners, develop stakeholder networks, and successfully communicate and coordinate among key stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of the development landscape of the region.
