Lift Operator

Continental Biscuits is seeking a skilled Lift Operator with at least one year of experience to operate and maintain industrial lifting equipment safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate demonstrates a thorough understanding of lift operation principles, safety compliance, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques to ensure smooth and safe operations within the facility. This role requires adherence to strict safety standards, including lockout tagout procedures and occupational safety regulations, to maintain a secure working environment. The Lift Operator will be responsible for monitoring hydraulic and lift control systems, performing routine inspections, and addressing malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime. The position does not involve managing a team, allowing the operator to focus on executing technical tasks independently and contributing to overall operational success at Continental Biscuits.
Responsibilities

Operate industrial lifts and related machinery following established safety protocols to transport materials efficiently within the production facility.
Perform regular inspections of lift equipment, including hydraulic and control systems, to detect and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Apply lockout tagout procedures to isolate energy sources during maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with occupational safety standards.
Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and any operational incidents to support safety audits and continuous improvement.
Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and company safety policies to minimize risks and promote a safe workplace.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to report equipment malfunctions and assist in troubleshooting and repair efforts as needed.
Participate in routine safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes related to lift operations.
Ensure all lift control systems are functioning correctly before and during operation to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
Monitor load limits and secure materials properly during lifting to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
Respond promptly to any operational or safety issues and take appropriate corrective action to maintain continuous and safe lift operation.
