We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructures on Microsoft Azure.The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the security, scalability, and high availability of the cloud networking environment. You will work closely with other cloud engineers and infrastructure teams to ensure the effective integration of cloud networks and contribute to the overall success of the organization's cloud strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implement Cloud Network Solutions: Design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable network solutions on Microsoft Azure, including virtual networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, load balancers, and Azure Firewall.
Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud network issues to ensure performance and uptime. Respond to incidents and resolve issues efficiently.
Security & Compliance: Implement network security policies and best practices, including network segmentation, firewall rules, and private/public subnet management. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with other IT teams, including cloud architects, DevOps, and security teams, to design and integrate network solutions that align with the organization’s cloud strategy.
Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline network deployments and configurations using tools like Azure Automation, PowerShell, and ARM templates.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and processes. Provide regular status reports to leadership regarding network performance and ongoing projects.
Cost Management: Assist in cost optimization by designing efficient cloud network architectures and advising on resource allocation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure networking services and cloud technologies.
Cloud Networking Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Azure networking services such as Azure Virtual Network, Azure VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Network Security Groups (NSG), Azure Firewall, Azure Load Balancer, and Azure Traffic Manager.
Security Knowledge: Understanding of network security principles, such as IPsec, SSL, and TLS, as well as the ability to implement Azure security best practices.
Scripting/Automation: Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates for automation and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Certification: Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-103/104) are highly desirable.
Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex networking issues in a cloud environment.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with Hybrid Cloud: Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and working with on-premise and cloud network integration.
Experience with Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Azure Network Watcher, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
Knowledge of Other Cloud Platforms: Experience with other cloud providers like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
Advanced Network Certifications: Certifications such as CCNP or CompTIA Network+.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
