The SOS Children's Village Faisalabad was opened in 1988 with many local philanthropists donating family homes. The land was donated by the Government of the Punjab. The project is well established and, over the years, benefited from up-gradation and additions to the facilities. A generous donor has renovated the administrative offices and added a spacious auditorium. As everywhere else, we are dependant on the community for their support, as their involvement is vital for our operation and expansion. Functions are arranged on a regular basis by various donors and are greatly enjoyed by the children, as are outings to interesting sites. A group of Friends of SOS meets regularly and contributes to the welfare of the children.
