Communicators Globe Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Rigger specializing in Telecom Tower operations. This role primarily involves climbing telecom towers to install, maintain, and repair antennas and related equipment. The successful candidate will perform rigging and lifting tasks, ensuring the safe and efficient placement of hardware and cabling essential to telecom signal transmission. The position requires a hands-on approach, strong practical skills in working at heights, and adherence to safety protocols to guarantee a secure and productive work environment.
To excel in this role, the candidate must demonstrate expertise in rigging equipment operation, load calculations, and antenna installation while conducting RF signal testing for optimal signal strength and alignment. The role demands flexibility to travel to field sites and work outdoors under varying conditions. Effective communication and the ability to coordinate within field teams are crucial to achieving project milestones and maintaining safety standards across all operations. A diploma in relevant technical fields and around five years of experience in tower rigging or telecommunications-related fieldwork are preferred for this position.
Responsibilities
- Climb telecom towers to install, inspect, maintain, and repair antennas, cabling, and other related equipment following site plans and installation guidelines.
- Operate rigging equipment safely to hoist and secure loads, ensuring proper load calculations and adherence to rigging and lifting techniques.
- Conduct RF signal testing including signal strength measurement using spectrum analyzers and other tools to verify antenna alignment and performance.
- Read and interpret site plans, installation manuals, and standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and safe implementation of telecom hardware.
- Perform routine inspections of towers and rigging equipment to identify and mitigate risks related to structural integrity and safety compliance.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members by consistently using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following emergency procedures for tower work.
- Collaborate effectively with field teams to coordinate tasks, share status updates, and resolve issues that arise during installation or maintenance activities.
- Travel to various field sites as required, demonstrating flexibility in work schedules to accommodate project timelines and environmental conditions.
- Maintain physical fitness and stamina to safely perform strenuous tasks at heights and in outdoor environments under variable weather conditions.
- Document work performed including testing results, setup adjustments, and any safety incidents, ensuring accurate and timely communication with supervisors.
