The Distribution and Brand Approval Manager in the e-commerce industry oversees the seamless operation of product distribution, ensures the integrity of the brand across digital platforms, and manages compliance with brand guidelines for online marketplaces and marketing campaigns. This role focuses on optimizing e-commerce supply chains, maintaining a consistent brand presence, and driving growth through effective collaboration with logistics, marketing, and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. E-commerce Distribution Management:

  • Develop and manage distribution strategies tailored for e-commerce platforms, including third-party marketplaces, direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, and fulfillment centers.
  • Oversee last-mile delivery performance, ensuring on-time order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners and warehouses to optimize inventory management and minimize costs.
  • Monitor and resolve operational bottlenecks such as stock-outs, delays, or returns.
  • Ensure integration of distribution systems with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, Walmart).
  • Electronic Distribution knowledge.

2. Brand Approval & Compliance:

  • Review and approve digital assets, including product listings, website banners, email campaigns, and advertisements, to ensure alignment with brand standards.
  • brands approvals, brand partnerships, and deal registration.
  • Audit product descriptions, images, and packaging for consistency across marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, or Walmart.
  • Coordinate with platform representatives to address and resolve violations of brand guidelines or intellectual property issues.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, certifications, and consumer protection laws in all regions of operation.

3. Marketplace Collaboration & Monitoring:

  • Manage relationships with e-commerce platforms, ensuring brand presence and prioritization.
  • Monitor marketplace content, customer reviews, and ratings to uphold the brand’s reputation.
  • Analyze competitive positioning on e-commerce platforms and recommend improvements for visibility and branding.
  • Approve promotional content, sponsored ads, and campaigns for consistency and performance.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth integration of brand strategies and distribution processes.
  • Train internal teams and external partners on e-commerce brand standards and distribution protocols.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for fulfillment centers and logistics vendors.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as delivery timelines, order accuracy, return rates, and brand compliance metrics.
  • Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform dashboards) to monitor brand visibility, sales trends, and ad performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on e-commerce distribution performance and brand approval metrics, identifying areas for improvement.

6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency in e-commerce distribution, including automation and technology adoption.
  • Stay updated with e-commerce trends, innovations, and platform policy changes to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Recommend enhancements to branding approaches based on customer behavior insights and market dynamics.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, brand management, or supply chain management.
  • Expertise in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, or Magento) and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, and paid advertising campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and distribution in the e-commerce space.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with tools such as ERP systems, CMS platforms, and project management software.
