The Solar Panel Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of solar panels by performing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks. This role ensures optimal energy production and extends the lifespan of solar equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning of solar panels using appropriate tools and eco-friendly cleaning solutions.
- Use water-fed poles, soft brushes, and other specialized equipment to ensure panels are free of dirt, debris, and contaminant
- Inspect solar panels for damage, wear, or any maintenance needs.
- Report any issues or necessary repairs to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working at heights or on rooftops.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a cleaning schedule based on weather conditions and production needs.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and any repairs needed.
- Provide feedback on the performance of solar panels and suggest improvements.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding cleaning schedules and any issues observed during inspections.
Requirements and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or related fields is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Basic mechanical skills to identify maintenance needs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to specify weights.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Good physical stamina and agility.
- Primarily outdoor work on rooftops, solar panels, or other installations.
- Potential exposure to varying weather conditions.
