The Wash Officer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs within the designated area. This role involves monitoring WASH facilities, promoting hygiene awareness, and ensuring the availability of clean water and sanitation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the operation and maintenance of WASH facilities (e.g., water supply, and sanitation systems).
- Conduct hygiene education sessions and promote good hygiene practices.
- Ensure the availability of clean water and proper sanitation in communities or project sites.
- Assess WASH needs and report any issues or gaps in services.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders for effective program delivery.
- Support the development and implementation of WASH-related policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, or related field.
- Experience in WASH program implementation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
